The Paravan swivel seat: technology to keep you moving
Product quality is a priority at Paravan. Every product is developed and manufactured entirely in-house. Quality already starts with the right nuts and bolts and stops with individual adaptation to each customer! Our "seat collection" is also manufactured according to the basic traditions of Swabian mechanical engineering.
The Paravan swivel seat: overview of technical details:
The mechanics of the PARAVAN swivel seat
Function of electric seat bases
The electric swivel seat is driven by powerful electric motors. A gearwheel is set in motion by the motors, and the seat can move backwards and forwards on metal rails. The swivel movement is achieved via a ball bearing made of metal.
The electric / manual motion sequence
Seat rotates out: A swivel movement is first initiated around the B-pillar. The seat then moves forwards and swivels out further to max. 120°. Seat rotates back in: Swivel seat base simultaneously swivels in and moves back again. Modification of the car door is not normally necessary.
Material of seat base
To prevent wear to the individual components, we use high-strength metal and the maintenance-free, synthetic material Delrin.
With the mechanical swivel seat base, the seat is operated with a lever. Here the seat is not driven by a motor and gearwheel but moved manually on metal rails.
The safety of our mechanical and electrical system is guaranteed, and we have documentation to prove this. In the event of an accident, the base will remain securely attached to the rails and can then be operated manually using the emergency release mechanism.
The extending mechanical foot support of the Paravan swivel seat base
The Paravan swivel seat base comes as standard with a foot support that can be extended manually. The support is securely connected to the base underneath the seat. To use, simply pull out the support and afterwards, push it back in again. For greater safety, the support is fitted with additional stop rings.
